The California Finance Lenders Law governs what brokers and refferal sources may or may not do when brokering or referring commerical loans. The most recent revision, however, is causing confusion for various parties including lenders. Equipment leasing and finance organizations are seeking guidance from the state's Department of Business Oversight. Most likely, these groups also will be working to amend this law.
